Pick It UP!!!

Sometime it is up to us to pick up everyones trash.

I know I am not the only one doing this, but we shouldn’t have to be. Here of lately it seems on the trail I am seeing more and more litter just laying on the trail. In Scouting it is pounded into us Leave No Trace. I can remember as a young scout myself we were at the end of a big trip ready to go and they would yell police line. What this meant was the whole troop would line up arm length apart and SLOWLY walk the campsite picking up any and I mean any little peace of trash we saw. Today going into my 50’s I understand it more than ever. I also now get keeping you camping foot print as small a possible that way you can control the amount of damage your doing to the environment. After all that is the main goal of leave no trace isn’t it, to save the land for the next hiker or outdoors man to come along. We as outdoors community have to pound it home to the next generation leave no trace and why we leave no trace.
