Weekend Trip

My first campout of 2022 is in the books. Shot a video that will be up next week. Also, shot a few photos while I was there also. Went to Edger Evins State Park in Silver Point, TN. It is a very unique park because its camping site is all elevated on the sides of hills. You also have to anchor your tents with either screws or nails. Here are a few of the pictures.

First Camp of 2022

I am so stoked that this weekend is our first campout of 2022, there will be videos coming from this. It is going to be a little cool but sunny. Will be trying a few things out and we will see how these things go. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

This might be the ticket!!!

So I saw a video the other day on YouTube from Fun on Vancouver Island and he was showing the use of these really cool coffee filters. So I found them on Amazon and put them in the shopping cart. Fast forward a few days Chloe and I were at Academy Sports and found this. Kuju coffee (base camp flavor). You get five to a pack for 7.69 yeah a little pricey but the idea behind it being all ready to go is ideal. Just toss one or how ever many you need for your trip in a zip lock and into your food bag and your off on your adventure. The flavor is a combo of Oak, Chocolate and Honey is just right. Planing.

So I am going over my schedule for up coming couple of months and to see where all I am going, what gear I will need and do I need to make reservations. How far out do you plan your outings? My thought is always know where your going and what your going to need to succeed. If you plan your gear a head of time you wont get to camp and have that oh crap moment that you forgot something. With that said what type of camping are you going to do i.e. car camping, bushcraft camp, backpacking or even cabin camping. In the coming days I will be touching more on these types of camping set ups and gear list for each.

Christmas Is Almost Here

Christmas is almost here and the next thing you know a new year. Another year gone and a new year dawn. Do you have big plans for the new year to do bigger things or are you at a comfortable where you are. I for one am going to be reaching for bigger better things with my YouTube Channel and the whole Mid Tn Outdoors as a brand. Look for some cool things to come out hopefully in the early to mid year. I will be using this site more and more in the coming year so make sure you subscribe to it and stay tuned in to Mid Tn Outdoors. Main videos will still come out on Tuesday and with a bonus video sometime between Friday and Saturday, these wont happen every week. Look forward to hearing from everyone so be prepared.

Too Late??

Is it too late to start something new? Are you ever to old to start something new? Should you just play it safe? Where do you get from doing that? No where. I have been playing it safe all my life, no risk no rewards. It is time to step out of my comfort zone, my safe place. I challenge everyone to stop setting in your safe place get out live. Don’t you think you owe it to the one life your given to live it and do more. Some people never get past their safe places and miss out on everything that this planet has to offer. I have come to realize doing some of these solo hikes it’s sad that more people don’t get out and enjoy this more. I encourage more of you to get up and #getoutside.
