Took a trip that I had been promising for a while down to Stones River Battlefield. Nice day out and a little windy as you will see me dodging limbs and trees breaking all around me.

Weekend Trip
Took a little drive over the weekend and hit up a couple of different parks. Yes there are videos coming soon.
The first park I went to was Stones River National Battlefield in Murfreesboro TN.
The second park I went to was Old Stone Fort State Park in Manchester, TN. This one I am looking at going back to camp soon.
I am editing the videos now and should have the first one up this week. I also stumbled up on another place while I was there. Stay tuned for that one also.
First Camp of 2023
It is time to put all the new gear to the test. I will be headed to Montgomery Bell State Park near Dickson TN this weekend. Will be rolling out all the latest gear and seeing if it all performs as it should. I am pumped and nervous all at the same time. Plan on rolling in around 2-3pm and taking my time setting it all up. On another note I camped at Montgomery Bell back in the late 80’s so it will be good to set foot in an old campground from back in my Scouting days. Stay tuned for the videos to come. I will be shooting a cooking video this weekend also.

That is the right new start time for the vids on YouTube. Tuesday’s vids will drop now at 2:00pm and Saturday’s vids will drop at 1:00pm. Still playing shorts as well. So that means Tuesday’s video is up NOW!!!! Go watch it.
2023 Ramping Up
Good day to all of my outdoor crew, as the title says 2023 is starting to ramp up. There will be a major announcement coming in a couple of weeks. I will say save a spot on your calendar for May 12th – 14th. More to come on that soon. Also, new gear is showing up as we speak to make my overland/truck camping setup go much easier and faster. Also, I have downsized some of my gear to make more room in the truck. I was getting to the point I need a trailer or a bigger truck. With all of that said the year is shaping up already. My main goal is to do a lot more camping this year and get out to more places and hope to get out of Tennessee into more of Kentucky Alabama and maybe even into North Carolina at some point this year. So stay tuned here and on the YouTubes for more to come on all of the happenings.

Here is your Tuesday video on YouTube, it is the driving tour of Mousetail Landing State Park. I take you around the park and point out camping and other highlights of the park.

Wheeling Pickett Forest
So this trip had us leaving the house at 5:30 am headed to Pickett to meet up with the rest of the crew. There would be 20 Jeeps driving 28 miles over an 8 hours of the day.
This trip would take us to Mineral Pond, and many other landmarks all throughout the forest.
Mineral Pond
I am going to leave our trek at the bottom if you would like to take this trek. I will say I highly recommend you have a four-wheel drive and at least 35″ tires and at least 2 1/2″ lift and go in a group. This is not time for a solo adventure here. Also recommend having wench and recovery gear, you may need it is some places. It is also known during rainy pierods to get muddy.
